What's the best photo you took this year? Show and tell!
This was the best photograph that I took this year because I was able to eat the subject afterwards without any feelings of guilt or regret.
Now that I have a Mac (and a big, virtually empty hard drive) picture taking and processing is so much better.
The year is flying by at a very uncomfortable pace.
I feel like I was just in Deutschland and here I am planning my next trip. A cruise to the Bahamas may also be in the works.
I'm going to throw myself back into the gym. I've been slacking off lately big time, and it's showing. It's not so much about weight gain, but I've been having pain in my ankles and knees, and just this past weekend, pain in my right shoulder. I'm sure that it's a result of my sitting habits at work and that I haven't really been flexing my muscles as I should be.
So after work, I'm going shopping for new sneakers & workout gear. Spending money is always good motivation for me.
So far, three people have asked me if I've purchased the new iphone. I'm not interested in purchasing the phone for two reasons.
1) This is Apple's first time putting a mobile phone on the market. It may have some issues that will need smoothing out and when the smoothing is done, the inevitable improvements and additions will also take place. By that time, the phone will likely cost less and contain more power and fidelity. The people who bought an iphone yesterday are my guinea pigs to that effect (that's if I ever decided to get one myself.)
2) I detest AT&T. Enough said.
Anyway, the weather is so beautiful right now. The sky is a deep blue (I think those who live in the L.A. basin can truely appreciate the beauty of it, since we go without it often). I had breakfast outside on the patio. In my pajamas!
It has actually been so nice this weekend (aside from the frequent popping of fireworks), that I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. My boss has been on vacation and while he was away, we had an "issue" of sorts. My coworker has a problem speaking up for herself, and when she received a hostile response via email from a colleague at another office, I jumped in (since I was cc'd in the email). I kept my response professional but made my point clear. She didn't respond and I haven't had any contact with her since then. I included my other coworker, who is second in command when the boss is gone, in that email. He forwarded it to my boss. I'm sure it will be an issue that will be brought up when he gets back later this week. I'm just hoping that no one catches any heat because of it.
There are times when people get so frustrated and overwhelmed with their work that they go a little past the point of professionalism. I feel that as long as it's not a constant thing, then it's not a big deal. I just wanted to make sure that in the future, things are handled differently. But I fear that some people may make it a much bigger issue than it actually was (which has happened before) and I have no control over it.
